Paper Dress & Design*Sponge
Today my boss, Kelli, & I gave paper dressmaking a whirl! We gathered up coffee filters, white tissue paper & regular white computer paper and spent about three hours taping, cutting, wrapping & assembling everything into quite a nicely designed paper wedding dress. It isn’t done yet, but I’m showing you a sneak peek anyways! Pics of the completed dress will be up on our blog sometime next week. (P.S. Our dress/mannequin’s name is Marie. Just so you know.)
Later in the evening we ventured out into the city to go to an event I’ve been waiting for for about a month! Grace, the author of one of my favorite design blogs EVER, Design*Sponge, just had her first interior design book published and is on tour throughout the US doing book signings. Luckily Boston is a popular city and was the second stop on her tour! So Kelli & I went over to West Elm to meet Grace & tell her how awesome her blog is. And to eat mini cupcakes. And to take silly photobooth pictures. =)
Today was fun.
